American Girl GOTY (2020/2021)

An adorable set of series for Mattel to advertise the Girl of The Year dolls for 2020 and 2021. Done at Apartment D.

Responsible for animation, rigging, puppet fabrication.

Photos 5-9: Rigging that was braised for the project. Included are barbels, spikes, and plates.

Photos 10 & 11: Complex rigging of multiple characters (running human and three jumping kangaroos) which comprised of overhead winder rigs on extra long barbels.

Photos 12-14: Rigging for a consistent rocking chair movement. A winder was deconstructed and installed to underneath the set and a knob was fastened to the end of the table for the animator to control the winder without bending over the table. The knob had a graph that represented the appropriate amounts to turn for the perfect consistent movement. The winder was attached to the rocking chair by the rods extending from either leg, with strong piano wires hooked on each side.
